Paint The Town

A project run by the East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Illustration class to work with local businesses and show team spirit for Homecoming. Businesses in the Stroudsburg, PA area volunteer their windows for a few weeks to show their support for the local University. The students are responsible for communicating with the business, coming up with a design, and painting the design on the windows themselves.

Foe this project I collaborated with my fellow student, Katrina McDevitt, to create a continuous 5-window, full-scale scene depicting characters from Disney’s Hercules. The Homecoming theme for 2023 was ‘Super Hero’, and we wanted to bring in the theme of wine since our collaborating business was The Renegade Winery. Disney’s Hercules seemed like the perfect fit due to the Greek setting in which is known to involve wine.
